Therapist First
When is an hour not an Hour?
At Amden, we've done something that sets us apart—and therapists notice it straight away.
In most therapy settings, an "hour" in the room really means 50 minutes of client time. It's a system that often leaves therapists rushing in, winding up too quickly, or bumping into the next person in the corridor.
At Amden, we do it differently.
Here, an hour isn't 50 minutes — or even just 60 minutes.
An hour at Amden is 70 minutes.
Every single room booking includes buffer time before and after your client session. That means you're not walking into a room still in use from the previous session, and you're not rushing out the door as your client leaves. You have time to arrive, settle, and prepare, and time afterwards to reflect or decompress—without being hurried.
This extra time gives you space to breathe, reflect, settle, and work at a pace that respects the process—for both you and your client.
It's a small change that makes a big difference.
And it's our way of saying thank you for putting your trust in Amden.
Your client still receives their full one-hour session. The additional time is yours—built in to respect the reality of therapeutic work.
But we didn't stop there.
Therapists are welcome to arrive early, head to our dedicated therapist kitchenette, and enjoy a moment of calm—a cup of tea, a quiet seat, and space to gather yourself before your session begins. This isn't a luxury. It's a reflection of how we think: therapy works best when the therapist is supported.
This attention to the therapist experience is what makes Amden genuinely different. You're not squeezed in between bookings. You're not just renting a room.
You're working in a space that was purpose-built to put your needs first.
